Project Happiness

Project Happiness explores and analyzes the differences between emotions we choose to expose to others, and those we systematically internalize. In various documented moments, a certain pressure develops to project an emotion one wants to remember, or for others to see.

We Are Water

Inspired by Emergent Strategy by Adrienne Maree Brown, the series We Are Water explores patterns of the universe, mutual reliance, and collaborative ideation through black and white 35mm film. Model: Courtney Wettermann (she/they)

Seen/Unseen

This digital series aims to capture the beauty and vulnerability of duality. Seen/Unseen explores what holds people back, what people choose to expose to others, and what remains hidden below the surface.

Held Back

Held Back captures the fleeting moments of light that emerge out of dark places. The black and white portraits explore a vulnerability that comes from unconscious emotion and the strength that can be shared by embracing the transformative power of sadness.

PS21

The series PS21 frames the unique desert landscape as a source of creativity. Featuring photos from Bombay Beach on the Salton Sea and East Jesus at Slab City, the images explore light, color, and space through 35mm film.

EU23

35mm film images captured abroad in 2023. Locations include Amsterdam, Venice, Florence, Siena, Civita di Bagnoregio, Rome and Reykjavik. Images are digitally scanned with minimal manipulation.
