Madeline Berkman (she/her) is a Seattle-based analog photographer and mixed-media artist whose work explores vulnerability, memory, and human connection. Through photography and interdisciplinary practices, she creates opportunities for reflection and dialogue, inviting viewers to embrace the transformative power of sadness and vulnerability.

Madeline earned a BA in Studio Art and Art History through the Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies at Western Washington University and an MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University.

Drawing on the tactile and intentional nature of analog photography, Madeline uses fine art as a tool for examining lived experience and encouraging audiences to engage with their own realities. Her work creates space for difficult emotions, fostering connection through honesty, empathy, and shared experience.

Madeline currently works as Program Manager at Shunpike and Exhibition & Programming Manager at Magnuson Park Gallery.
